Primitive Wilderness Adventures for Kids and Teens

WilderSkills is a life-changing primitive skills and deep nature connection community for California youth ages 7 to 13.

Founded as a branch of California Survival School, WilderSkills helps kids and teens reconnect with the earth through primitive wilderness survival skills and nature awareness activities.

Wilderskills programs cover a range of skills, from fire-by-friction and water collection, to ancient crafts and techniques for making tools and blending into the woods. Our programs are divided into three aspects – Ancient Skills, Wild Adventures, Deep Connection.

Wilderskills is based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Summer camp programs presently take place in the Santa Cruz mountains near San Jose. (Though more locations will be added soon!)
